Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar // Night Markets, Star Courts and Desi goodness

GOODREADS // AMAZON // BOOK DEPOSITORY The daughter of a star and a mortal, Sheetal is used to keeping secrets. Pretending to be "normal." But when an accidental flare of her starfire puts her human father in the hospital, Sheetal needs a full star's help to heal him. A star like her mother, who returned to the sky long ago. Sheetal's quest to save her father will take her to a celestial court of shining wonders and dark shadows, where she must take the stage as her family's champion in a competition to decide the next ruling house of the heavens--and win, or risk never returning to Earth at all. This gorgeously imagined YA debut blends shades of Neil Gaiman's Stardust and a breathtaking landscape of Hindu mythology into a radiant contemporary fantasy.   ( A huge thank you to the  HOV Tours  and HarperTeen for the eARC and the opportunity to be a part of this blog tour.  ~When a book sees you~      Yes I am absolutely go...

Top Ten Tuesday # 3 : 10 Books I've added to my TBR lately

Top ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Follow the link to know more about the meme and join up!
The Topic for this Tuesday is 10 books I've added to my To-Be-Read List lately! This is an exciting topic for me as I've added more than 30 books in the last week alone!

The Diabolic by S.J. Kinciad

Yes, despite the mixed reviews, I so want to read this book. Why? Because the cover *gasp*, the blurb *gasp*. I can't not read it!

Carve The Mark by Veronica Roth

Because Veronica Roth and Science Fiction. Enough said.

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Ok guys, confession, I've not read six of Crows. I know I know! So anyways, for some reason I feel like I should read the Grisha Trilogy before I read Six of crows. so yeah.

Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno- Garcia

I have an unquenchable love for black and red covers! Also from the blurb it seems to be a really unique vampire story.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

I love the cover!! Phoenixes are my favourite fantasy creatures ever! Also the blurb is awesome and I definitely cannot wait 7 more months to read this beauty!

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury

Ok let's count the reasons why everyone should read this book. One- Diversity in books! Two- It's a standalone which means no walking around like a zombie waiting for a sequel. Three- It's an Alladin retelling!

Timekeeper by Tara Sim

Because all the bloggers I love seem to love this book! I've never read steampunk and this seems like just the book to start with.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

The blurb is awesome you guys! And I've been hearing such wonderful things about this book.

Demon's Daughter by Amy Braun

The blurb of the entire Trilogy says for 'SUPERNATURAL' fans. Definitely definitely have to read this! Dean would be proud!

Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

Do you see the utterly gorgeous whimsical cover?? I could not, would not wait to read this!
